From 14 to 16 of July The UniCredit National Cup 2006 Regatta took place in Varna Bay.

Organized by Bulgarian Sailing Federation and UniCredit Bank Group the event was hosted by Yacht Club “Capt. G. Georgiev – Port Varna”.

After the brief opening ceremony, when the participants were welcomed by the chairman of BSF Stanislav Kasarov and Peter Harold (CEO of HVB Bank Biohim, Hebros Bank and Chief Operative Director of Bulbank), three races in each class took place under the changing wind of Varna Bay. On the second day of the Regatta the two open classes – Class B – up to 29 feet, and Class C – 29 feet plus were divided, and three races were held in Class A, and 2 in Classes B and C.
